3D-GIS-AR: See through the ground!

A research project of the Spatial HCI lab, dedicated to reveal underground gas pipelines for the Viennese infrastructure provider Wiener Netze.

Maintaining gas pipelines that are buried underground is a hard task, especially in busy urban environments. Checking the pipeline for gas leaks is rather easy, but the challenge is to locate it! Not anymore with our group’s GeoAR technology: Just look at the ground below you!
